Benjamin Moore

Benjamin Moore is a long-established American paint manufacturer distributed almost exclusively through a network of independently owned authorized dealers rather than its own company stores or a single national home-improvement chain. Its Aura Waterborne Interior line is the brand’s flagship premium interior product and the one most often named in cross-brand sheen questions GlossAtlas was built to answer.

Benjamin Moore publishes a gloss/sheen figure for each Aura Waterborne Interior finish on its own technical data sheets, and those sheets are revised on their own independent schedule per finish — the Matte, Eggshell, Satin, and Semi-Gloss data sheets in this dataset each carry their own separate revision date. GlossAtlas transcribes those figures directly; see the Aura Waterborne Interior line page for the full published range at each sheen, with a source link and revision date for every figure. This page does not repeat that table — it exists to orient you to the brand and point you toward the data itself.

If you already use a Benjamin Moore Aura finish and want to know what finish in another brand is physically closest by published gloss, the comparison tool handles it directly. A few of the more frequently asked cross-brand questions involving Benjamin Moore are also worked through in full on their own pages:

For background on how these comparisons are built — why GlossAtlas never converts a 60° figure to an 85° figure, and what “closest published match” does and doesn’t mean — see the methodology page.
